A Fresh, New Source for News and Views
The Glenview Watch would like to promote a new mindset in our community – a time of greater public participation in government, a time of limits on suburban sprawl and respect for our natural treasures. As residents and taxpayers, we have faithfully read the Glenview Announcements and are distressed by its limited coverage of issues and events. We subscribe to the Chicago Tribune and the Sun-Times, but find little about our community in their pages.
Enter the Internet and reporters Dean Schott and Sandy Hausman. As residents of Glenview, we hope to give you the real scoop through The Glenview Watch. If you’d like to hear from us, keep reading.
We have been able to provide this community service for seven years in large part due to the success of our communications company Hausman & Schott, Inc. We produce videos and podcasts for corporations and not-for-profits and provide copy writing services to a broad range of pharmaceutical, consumer product and manufacturing companies. Glenview Watch has performed a real service to the community whether Ms. Cummings reads it or not. She only shows herself to be disinterested in citizens’ opinions by discounting the entire site.
What next: discount elections because of the secret ballot?
– On October 15 at 1:15 p.m. I received a call from the police. Thank you officers Fred and Officer Jeff.
Attempted burglary, the sliding door in the front of the store. Thank God nothing was taken.
BURGLARY DECEMBER 6 -2007
$15,000.00 IN PROPERTY TAKEN FROM THE COFFEE SHOP!!! Still recovering from the trauma and monetary side of things. I am blessed that nothing happen to ME nor my dear friend PAM!!
On May 2 shortly after 8 p.m. A man reported being robbed by two men at the North Glen Station while waiting for a train. The victim was grabbed by the neck from behind and the offenders removed the wallet from his pants. They took $60 and three ID Cards before running east to John’s Drive.
A WOMAN IN HER EARLY 30’S WAS PUSHED IN THE BATHROOM AT THE TRAIN STATION LAST MONTH WHILE ALSO WAITING FOR A TRAIN, A COMUTER CAME TO HER RESCUE!!!. Please HELP US!!! WE NEED SUPPORT.
Do we have to have a catastrophe to get attention??
